“Giving all glory to God” one song at a time

The original four members of the OC Supertones played their first show together in five years last night at the Jesus Shack in Bakersfield, CA. Nathan Spencer and Jesse Craig joined the band on trombone and guitar for this special reunion.

Matt Look with Tony Terusa at Jesus Shack in Bakersfield, CA on May 28.

The theme of this tour is giving all glory to God. “They’re coming back to do it one last time for God’s Glory, and not for their own,” said Matt Look.

It was Look’s 39th Supertones show. He was front and center and covered with Mojo’s spit by the end of the night.

“So Great A Salvation” was a special addition to last night’s show.

Mojo sold the guitar he wrote “Salvation” on to someone on Ebay. Little did Mojo know that the purchaser was at the show with his guitar. “Salvation” became a last minute addition to the set.

Set list:

Strike Back
Go Go Go
What It Comes To
He Will Always Be There
Might To Save
Glory to God
All My Days
How Great Is Our God
So Great A Salvation
OC Supertones
Little Man
Who Can Be Against Me?

Louder Than the Mob

I love “So Great A Salvation.” I first heard that song at a time when I didn’t think I was very worthy of God’s love, and that song really spoke to me. I can’t wait to see them at RevGen…hopefully!
